Dimethylargininase (DDAH)

Dimethylarginine Dimethylaminohydrolase

Dimethylarginase (DDAH) hydrolyzes asymmetric dimethylarginine (ADMA) to regulate the production of nitric oxide (NO) , and its two isozymes, DDAH1 and DDAH2, are expressed in various tissues. DDAH is a potential inhibitory target for diseases such as cardiovascular disease, neurodegenerative diseases, and cancer.
